We realise that moving into residential care can be an emotional time for everyone concerned and we will do all that we can to ease the transition.
We provide a wealth of information to help you and to answer some of the many questions that you will no doubt have.
We have a relatives support group that aims to get as many like minded people together to talk about their experiences, help each other with the emotional impact of their loved one coming to stay with us and also aims to have guest speakers, information and informal training sessions on the things that really effect you in caring for your loved one – this could include looking at different ways to communicate, understanding your loved ones condition, swapping tips and advice – anything that concerns you.
Our relatives group meets very informally on a regular basis – please speak to us for more information and to perhaps join us at our next one.
We also hold regular residents meetings to listen to how they are feeling. We feel it is important to get their feedback at every available opportunity.
But as always, if you feel you or your loved one need further support, just come and see us…..our door is always open.
